La actitud de Tomas de Aquino ante la interrogante que suscita el fin del mundo esta marcada por un realismo que se dirige mas bien a la accion intrahistorica del hombre guiada por las verdades de la Revelacion. El analisis de los capitulos 79 y 97 del Libro IV de la Suma Contra Gentiles, orienta en el pensamiento tomasiano y revela la importancia asignada a la union sustancial alma-cuerpo en el hombre al enfatizar la conveniencia de la resurreccion del cuerpo humano al fin de los tiempos. Esta afirmacion esta en estrecha vinculacion con la unidad entre el mundo material y el humano que sera mantenida en la consumacion de la historia. Asi se fundamenta filosoficamente la doctrina cristiana de un antropocentrismo directamente ligado a la Encarnacion del Verbo.
La infinitud del mundo, la visión de Simone Weil y Edith Stein

This article presents the links between the thought of Edith Stein and Simone Weil, both outstanding philosophers of the 20th century, regarding the conception of modern science and technology. The thesis that will guide our work is that the two thinkers recover the conception of science as a contemplation of the world's order. This perspective makes it possible to change the physicalist view of nature and stop the damage that the excessive intervention of technology has caused in nature. In this way, science becomes a bridge that leads to the Creator. In this paper, we analyze the concepts of finality, the consideration of space and geometry as integrators of reality, perception as the origin of knowledge, and the transcendent dimension of science. Each of these aspects is analyzed from the perspective of the intrinsic order of things and of the person given by the Creator.
La objeción de P. Geach a la simple aprehensión

This article studies Aquinas's simple apprehension —also called by Aristotle knowledge of the indivisible— under discussion with Peter Geach's objection. This philosopher states that the consideration of the concept as such is a myth. In the light of different texts by Thomas Aquinas, the extents and limits of this first operation of intelligence are explained as well as in what sense it must not be considered an isolated operation from the rest ofthe cognitive life of men.
Ratio superior, ratio inferior y el agustinismo de Tomás de Aquino

El artículo discute la recepción que hace Tomás de Aquino de la distinción agustiniana entre razón superior e inferior. Si bien no se trata de uno de los tópicos centrales de la doctrina tomasiana, es un elemento significativo a la hora de considerar dentro de la obra de Tomás la presencia de patrones agustinianos de pensamiento que no sean primordialmente teológicos. Tras discutir de modo general la presencia de esta distinción en la obra del aquinate, y los estudios previos sobre este binomio, se procede a discutir su uso por parte de Tomás de Aquino ante tres problemas específicos: la distinción entre géneros de vida, la división de las facultades humanas, y el problema moral de la delectación morosa.
