In the present work, a compilation of information regarding the addiction to social networks and marital satisfaction in relation to the couple is exposed, from the application of two instruments, the Marital Satisfaction Scale of Pick and Andrade and the Questionnaire of Addiction to Social Networks, being the same applied to a 233 sample, obtaining a correlation of -176 with a significance of, 009 which allowed confirming that the greater the use of social networks, the lower the satisfaction marital couples in La Paz.
Influencia del apoyo social percibido, factores sociodemográficos y socioeconómicos sobre la depresión de personas adultas mayores del área urbana de la ciudad de La Paz

It has been proven that elderly population is constantly increasing, and that in the Plurinational State of Bolivia, there is not much information, studies and research about older adults. For this reason, this research topic was chosen, whose main objective is to determine the relationship between perceived social support and depression in older adults in the urban area of the city of La Paz. The research evaluates socio-economic factors, socio demographic, perceived social support (Zimet scale) and depression (Yesavage geriatric scale). For this study, an evaluation battery was prepared by compiling the aforementioned scales, and the statistical tool SPSS was used to analyze the data, resulting in a descriptive correlation study of a quantitative nature. Thus, it was found that there is a significant relationship of - ,438 between perceived social support and levels of depression in older adults in the urban area of the city of La Paz. Likewise, there are certain socio-economic and socio-demographic factors (housing situation, monthly income received, source of income, frequency of visits, marital status, etc.) that have a significant relationship with the perceived social support and the depression of the older adults, which influence levels of both depression and perceived social support, in some cases increasing levels or decreasing.
Validación de la escala de autoestima de Rosenberg en estudiantes paceños

Given the importance of being able to measure self-esteem in adolescents, the validity and reliability of the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale was determined in the context of secondary school students belonging to two educational units in the city of La Paz, with the sample consisting of 983 students. The results obtained show that the scale possesses satisfactory psychometric properties having obtained a Cronbach’s alpha .966. Scales were elaborated according to sex and age, likewise it was found in the content validity analysis that the validity index is in satisfactory levels.
Validación factorial del Inventario Clínico Multiaxial de Millon III (MCMI-III) en universitarios bolivianos

El inventario clínico multiaxial de Millón (MCMI-III) es una escala de medida para la personalidad y psicopatología ampliamente utilizada y cuya validez de constructo ha venido siendo confirmada a lo largo del tiempo. Los participantes fueron 459 estudiantes universitarios bolivianos entre 17 y 30 años, los cuales han contestado de manera voluntaria a un cuestionario ad hoc de elementossociodemográficos y al cuestionario MCMI-III. Los análisis estuvieron orientados a confirmar las propiedades psicométricas de la escala a partir tanto de los puntajes totales como de los puntajes prototípicos mediante el análisis factorial confirmatorio de dos modelos: el original de cuatro factores y el propuesto por Alareqe et al. (2021), que consta de tres: patología internalizante, patología externalizante y estado general de perturbación psicológica. Como resultados, se confirma el modelo de tres factores con excepción de la validez discriminante, lo que sugiere una estructura unifactorial. Ambos modelos resultan invariantes para sexo. Se presentan las implicaciones de la investigación y sus limitaciones.
