    Ciencia y Ética: una relación fructífera y necesaria

    La moderna cultura occidental insiste en validar el supuesto de que la ciencia y la etica corresponden a esferas separadas y logicamente disjuntas de la actividad humana. La influencia cartesiana agrega elementos que refuerzan la doctrina de neutralidad cientifica, lo cual ha complicado seriamente la relacion de la ciencia y la etica en la sociedad moderna. La ciencia actual ha avanzado hacia formas de integracion, creando espacios para un debate que abre posibilidades a la etica como fundamento de una nueva racionalidad cientifica. En este trabajo se senalan algunos aspectos de este debate. Palabras claves: Epistemologia, responsabilidad etica, tecnociencia, nueva racionalidad cientifica. Abstract Science and Ethics: A possible fruitful relationship Modern western culture insists on validating the assumption that science and ethics belong to separate spheres and are logically disconnected from other human activities. The Cartesian influence adds elements that reinforce the doctrine of scientific neutrality, which has seriously complicated the relationship between science and ethics in modern rationality. In this paper, certain aspects of this debate are highlighted. Key words: Epistemology, ethical responsibility, technoscience, new scientific rationality.
