    The correct name for the Chilean conifer Lleuque (Podocarpaceae)

    Abstract The oldest legitimate name for the Chilean conifer Lleuque, Podocarpus spicatus , is reinstated. The subsequent assignment of this taxon to the genus Prumnopitys is accepted, and the new combination Prumnopitys spicata is made. Where possible, previous names applied to this taxon are typified.
