Our study addresses the factors of interest that general practitioners have in scientific research in first-level public health care centers in the municipality of El Alto. Objective: determine the factors of interest that general practitioners have in scientific research in first-level public health care centers in the municipality of El Alto, department of La Paz, Bolivia. Methods: it is a qualitative, descriptive, analytical and cross-sectional study, under a non-experimental design. The universe consisted of 3,520 general practitioners in the department of La Paz, 103 general practitioners agreed to participate as a sample of the research, and who met inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results and discussion: 68 % of the doctors are between 31 and 40 years old. 46,6 % graduated from a university abroad, however it had no impact on the research process. 62,1 % of all doctors have an academic degree at the bachelor's level. The majority of doctors after graduating do not continue with higher professional training studies. 80,6 % did not publish scientific articles. 41,7 % indicate that they do not carry out scientific research because there is no institutional support. Conclusions: the majority of doctors who participated in our study are relatively young – adults. Regardless of the school they graduate from, it has no impact on the research processes. Their academic degree is a bachelor's degree, followed by diplomas and none with a doctorate. After graduating, they do not continue with higher or postgraduate studies. The vast majority of doctors do not publish any research articles. Based on these results, it is necessary to implement strategies that encourage the development of research in general practitioners at the first level of careItem type: Item , LA EVALUACIÓN EDUCATIVA EN LA ERA DE LA INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL(2025) Boris Adolfo Llanos TorricoEl ensayo examina el impacto de la inteligencia artificial (IA) en la evaluación educativa en la Educación Superior, destacando su potencial para mejorar los procesos evaluativos mediante la precisión y personalización de la retroalimentación. Item type: Item , Scientific production of Bolivian universities(2023) Jhossmar Cristians Auza-Santiváñez; María V. Santiváñez-Cabezas; Aarón Eduardo Carvajal-Tapia; Boris Adolfo Llanos Torrico; Germán José Martín Rico Ramallo; Judith Marlene Aliaga RamosIntroduction: Higher education is undergoing significant changes due to the existence of agents promoting substantial changes in universities. Objective: To evaluate the scientific production of Bolivian universities in the Scopus database through a bibliometric study. Methods: A descriptive bibliometric study was conducted. The time period analyzed was documents with publication dates between January 1, 2000, and December 31, 2020. Results: Private universities predominated in Bolivia with 54%, and the remaining 46% were public universities. The private university with the highest scientific production was the Universidad Católica San Pablo with 5.3%, followed by the Universidad Privada de Bolivia with 4.4%. Most articles were original, with 1,797 documents, 43,141 citations, and 24.01 citations per document, followed by conference articles. Conclusions: The scientific production of Bolivian universities in Scopus during the 2000-2020 period had much lower indicators than expected, with low productivity and scientific performance. The universities with the highest scientific production over the 20-year period were the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, followed by the Universidad Mayor de San Simón. The number of published documents had a growth trend over time. Original articles predominated, and the predominant language of publication was English. According to the research area, the best indicators were in agriculture, social sciences, and medicine.Item type: Item , Scientific production of Bolivian universities(2022) Jhossmar Cristians Auza-Santiváñez; María V.
