    Designing a virtual study room to reinforce high school students’ language four skills for an elementary level english language learners at Adventist Caranavi School, 2023

    This degree project focuses on designing a virtual study room to improve English skills among high school students at Adventist Caranavi School, addressing varying levels of language proficiency. Some students only express basic words, while others lack any understanding. The project provides an online learning environment to strengthen listening, reading, writing, and speaking abilities. The study involves 1st to 6th-year high school students with elementary-level English. It is limited to the Caranavi province in La Paz and specifically targets students at the Adventist school. The methodology includes a three-month timeline involving a needs assessment, theoretical framework, and the creation of the virtual study room. The project uses various digital tools: Moodle as the Learning Management System (LMS) to manage and deliver content. Web tools like Edpuzzle, Topworksheet, Poodll, H5P, Wordwall, and Genially to create engaging and interactive experiences. Results showed marked improvements in the four skills. Students reported positive feedback regarding their learning experiences, highlighting the platform’s effectiveness. The virtual study room significantly impacted their language development and motivation. In conclusion, the successful implementation of this virtual space demonstrates the power of technology in education. It emphasizes the importance of personalized learning, ongoing support, and interactive tools to enhance English language acquisition in high school students.
