Conclusions: the consumption of chimo produces alterations at a cellular level in the oral mucosa; changes that are directly related to the amount consumed daily, allowing to establish once more that the cytology is a useful means of diagnosis, effective, simple; that can be used routinely in the dentist's office in all patients who are considered high-risk for the development of some type of injury that may become a future in a oral cancer.
