Item type: Item , Estimación y Control Distribuidos de Sistemas sobre Redes de Comunicación(Technical University of Valencia, 2014) Francisco R. Rubio; Pablo Millán; Luís Orihuela; Carlos VivasThis paper's aim is to present a novel design technique for distributed control and estimation in networked systems. The proposed problem considers a large scale, discrete LTI process controlled by a network of agents that may both, collect information about the evolution of the plant, and apply control actions to drive its behavior. The problem makes full sense when local observability/controllability is not assumed and the communication between agents can be exploited to reach system-wide goals, including energy efficiency in these communications. The objective is to provide a fully distributed estimation&control scheme that stabilizes the plant while the upper bound of a given quadratic performance index is minimized. The paper analyzes two different sampling schemes, periodic and event-driven, providing stability proofs based on Lyapunov theory and design methods in terms of LMIs. Experimental results on a four couple tanks system are provided to show the performance of the proposed methodologies. Item type: Item , Kalman-inspired distributed set-membership observers(2016) Ramón Albajes García; Luís Orihuela; Pablo Millán; Manuel G. Ortega; Francisco R. RubioIn this paper we propose a novel algorithm for distributed set-membership observation based on zonotopes. The method is able to estimate the dynamics of non-directly measured unstable modes. The distributed observer gains are optimally chosen to minimize the Frobenius norm of the prediction zonotope. The simulations show that the performance of the proposed distributed observation technique is comparable to that of a centralized observer.Item type: Item , Observadores Distribuidos Garantistas para Sistemas en Red(Technical University of Valencia, 2017) Ramón Albajes García; Francisco R. Rubio; Luís Orihuela; Pablo Millán; Manuel G. OrtegaThis paper proposes a guaranteed distributed observer for networked systems, taking into account the problem of the variable delays in communications. We assume that the information exchanged among the agents always arrives to its destination, although the communication are subject to variable delays, whose maximum value is known. Each observer works with partial information, and needs to communicate with neighbouring observers to carry out an estimation of the complete state of the system. The guaranteed sets, whose function is to delimit in real time the region in which the state of the system belong to, are represented by zonotopes. This kind of sets allows a simple integration of the information received by each agent. Finally some results obtained with the proposed algorithm are shown in simulations.
