Item type: Item , EP27.31: Intracavitary fluid versus early gestational sac using different reconstruction techniques: inter‐ and intraobserver reproducibility of sonologists of differing experience(Wiley, 2019) G. Profaca; G. Condous; Zhonghua Sun; Gordon StevensonTo analyse the ability of sonologists with different levels of experience and determining the difference between an early gestational sac and free fluid within the endometrial cavity using a variety of different transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) reconstruction techniques. This was a prospective observational study. Images from 15 women with confirmed early pregnancies which either demonstrated an early gestational sac or free fluid within the endometrial cavity were imaged using different reconstruction techniques, sagittal, tranverse, coronal and real time images. These images were then observed by sonologists of varying experience levels on two occasions with a two-week time interval, intra and inter-observer agreement was then analysed. Interobserver agreement was not found among the sonolgists for any of the imaging techniques. Greater intraobserver reliabilty was seen with experience. Preference among sonologists was found for real-time imaging (p < 0.05) Reliability was improved with experience of using TV ultrasound to distinguish between an early gestaional sac and free fluid. Real time imaging was the only image reconstruction technique to demonstrate a significant prefence in this study. EP27.31: Table 1. Accurary versus experience of sonologist
