    Síndrome de Burnout en Estudiantes de Odontología y Odontólogos. Una Revisión Sistemática

    Introduction: The Burnout Syndrome is a disease caused by occupational or professional exhaustion, produced by prolonged stress pressures, that can be presented in the work environment or in the field academic; understood by three dimensions such as emotional exhaustion, despersonalization and personal accomplishment, in addition, it is a pathology that has become a growing problem, therefore the need arises to examine the evolution and the state of the art of Burnout Syndrome in students of Dentistry and Dentists through a systematic review. Method: The electronic search was conducted in PubMed/Medline, Virtual Health Library (VHL), SciELO, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Scientific Research Publishing (Scirp), Dialnet and Google Scholar, considering systematic reviews and research articles. Results: High percent of Burnout Syndrome was found in dentist and dentistry students, analyzed though the dimensions of the syndrome such as emotional exhaustion, despersonalization and personal accomplishment, determined by the mostly used Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and Maslach Burnout Inventory – Human Service Survey (MBI - HSS) test, these tests being the most internally consistent, in addition, various factors associated with the syndrome in both groups were analyzed. Conclusion: Burnout is widely presented in the dental field; therefore, those stressors must be identified and must be effective technical coping proposals.
