    This paper presents some results of the industrial security assessment research conducted by the Power- Energy Research Group of UNIANDES and LEG (France), focused mainly to analyze the technical and economical impact of external and internal contingency situations on the security assessment of end-users. This model considers the uncertainty of the variables involved, from probabilistic perspectives in order to obtain security indexes that allow the risk level assessment of the system in every operation condition. The security assessment is one of the most important activities in planning and operating an electric power system. This paper describes the influence of the power Quality phenomenon in the industrial power system security. Methodology is presented for obtain the security level and how improving it. The priority order in the electrical infrastructure investment considering the Power Quality problems.
