Calorimetric: A Tecnique Useful in Characterization of Porous Solid
    (2011) Juan Carlos; Liliana Giraldo
The adsorption of gases in porous solids such as zeolites and activated carbons, has been widely applied in cases of separation, purification and bottling of gases This potential is reflected not only in increasing the number of technical and scientific articles and patents, but also in the world market growth in plants for air separation and purification processes of hydrogen and natural gas and many others Due to the various applications of porous adsorbents, many research groups in various parts of the world have sought to develop and improve these materials to improve performance in these specific applications (Bastos-Neto et al. 2005b; Arou et al., 2008; In the procedures for obtaining porous solids, it is necessary to control the various process variables such as preparation, carbonization temperature and time, type and concentration of activating agents, among others, since these activation parameters determine the chemical and physical properties of adsorbents. The textural characteristics are the most important properties of the adsorbents, since it indicates the implementation and performance of the solid obtained (Giraldo and Moreno, 2005). In addition, chemical properties also determine the adsorption properties of adsorbent and solid-fluid interactions. Nature of surface groups, hydrophobic or hydrophilic character and acidic or basic behavior are some of the relevant chemical properties of the adsorbents in adsorption processes. Since the physical and chemical properties of an adsorbent determine the application and performance of the same, it is necessary to determine precisely the parameters that characterize these materials such as surface area, microporosity, pore size distribution, heats of adsorption, among others. Several experimental techniques are used to characterize porous materials, for example, mercury porosimetry, adsorption of liquid nitrogen, x-ray diffraction, etc.. The technique most commonly used to characterize the texture of carbon adsorbents (ie surface area, properties of molecular sieve, size distribution of pores, etc.). Is the physical adsorption of gases and vapors. However, immersion calorimetry, with molecular probes of various molecular dimensions, and gas adsorption microcalorimetry techniques are also applied to characterize this type of solid (Denoyel et al.,

    (2017) Araujo Cuauro; Juan Carlos
It seems logical that, in parallel with the gradual increase in the scientific, technological and pharmacological ability of modern medicine, in order to change the course and the arrival of death, has developed the debate about reasonable limits for the using this technology, continue to serve the interests of sick individuals. At present no one know the term futility, but in the medical field and in patient critical unrecoverable or terminally ill, treatment goals that define it are often confused. So when, how and under what restrictions the establishment or maintenance of certain supportive measures or treatment that may be useless or futile not come to prolong life, but the agony, the pain or suffering must be avoided are the issues around which it is tied so under different names, it was identified today as limitation of treatment (LET), which is not to apply extraordinary measures or disproportionate to the therapeutic purpose that arises in a patient with poor prognosis and / or poor quality of life. Which can be of two types: not initiate certain measures or withdraw when instauradas.Por therefore LET practice seems to be present in the medicine of the past fifty years, but often have not been openly acknowledged, perhaps due to lack conceptually, ethical and legal clarity that has dragged until recently.

    (2003) Delgado Barrios; Juan Carlos

    (2010) Mogrovejo Jaramillo; Juan Carlos
The penalty system on tax matters is a manifestation of the state ius puniendi, in which sanctions, as the consequence of the assumptions made in the case legally qualified as an infringement, appear, thus the relevance of the analysis of this precept is to unveil its nature, purpose, type, and the competencies of the administrative bodies and courts called upon to impose it, with reference to the constitutional and legal situation in Ecuador, examining also the principles underlying this penalty system, and to be observed in proceedings and imposition of tax penalties.

Prótesis parcial removible con adaptación maxilofacial
    (2009) Vielma Monserrate; Juan Carlos
The prosthetic rehabilitation of histic defects caused by a traumatic or congenital origin mostly depends on removable partial dentures held by holders placed over the teeth, where general principles of design for these dentures are used. Obturators that close the resultant defects from maxillary hemisection are incorporated to these prosthetic devices. The present clinical case shows a post surgical defect after a maxillary hemisection in which the unilateral resection of the posterior alveolar ride, posterior teeth and hard palate were performed. This type of lesion represents a Class II defect according to Aramany classification, and was managed by using a removable partial denture held by a hook with acrylic obturator to close the existing oral sinus communication and getting possible to replace the missing teeth in the maxillary. With this treatment it was possible to accomplish the required aesthetic and functional objectives.
