    An investigation into the representation in the print media of the cultural and archaeological heritage issues shows that in Colombia, despite a strong increment in its visibility since 1991, – given the role they play in the construction of the national identity imposed by the condition of a multicultural and multiethnic state which is decreed by the Political Constitution from the aforementioned year – this trend was not maintained over time and covered all media equally, therefore, characterizing some aspects of this process and defining ways to monitor and study this issue in the short term.
