    Personal development provides the individual the opportunity to learn through self-awareness, to make your chances of thinking, feeling and acting for using free or independent thinking, dominate to achieve a responsible freedom that allows you to be a leader in health emotional. The aim of this study was to present personal development strategies based on Emotional Intelligence and Professional Ethics Behavior aimed to public accountants who work in Accounting Firms in the municipality of Valera, Trujillo that will strengthen their qualities and skills in performance labor. The research was descriptive and an instrument applied to a population consisting of sixteen accounting fi rms was used. It is concluded that although there are favorable results in terms of the components of emotional intelligence and ethical and professional behavior in the performance of public accounting professionals, they should be consolidated; because there are not always going to deal with the same type of person, nor will they work in the same organization. As a close personal development strategies detailed by diagnostic procedures, program design, implementation and evaluation are presented.
