    Protocolo para conservar las pertenencias y objetos de interés legal del usuario que ingresa a salas de emergencias

    In recent years, population growth in the city Mérida Venezuela, has resulted in increased rates of morbidity and mortality in health institutions, becoming evident in emergency rooms, either by road accidents or any other cause; which leads to nurses who work, anticipate and take action to deal with various situations, and thus carry out an appropriate response to the needs of people who demand the health service. Objective. Design a protocol to preserve belongings and legal interest of the user who enters the emergency room of Instituto Autónomo Hospital Universitario de Los Andes de Mérida, Venezuela. Methodology. It consisted of document review, design, validation, approval and implementation of the protocol, as well as in its presentation and orientation for filling. First the coordinators were guided through a chat and later personnel for three educational sessions. He started the protocol in the nursing area for application. Results. The protocol contains accurate and relevant patient information, the nurse, relatives, witnesses and goods or objects. Conclusions. The protocol will enable staff to generate a document fast and efficient filling, to facilitate and secure all action guidelines, as well as safeguard the reputation pointing to any ethical legal.
