    Nuevas dinámicas de violencia en la frontera colombo venezolana

    The peace agreement in Colombia meant the formal end of the war with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-Peoples’ Army (FARC-EP) after 52 years of confrontation. This fact allowed the reduction of political and social violence in the country. Despite this historic event, violence has begun to reappear in the territories where the FARC-EP was present, due to institutional weaknesses in various regions of the country and the presence of other organizations that have regained control of the illegal activities causing displacement, death of social leaders and increased drug trafficking, especially in the Colombian-Venezuelan border. This article is based on a documentary review of secondary sources, especially governmental agencies and NGOs that examine the acts of violence and their impact in the post-conflict period. The challenges facing the Colombian State go beyond military actions, and imply the promotion of integral development, especially in the vulnerable to conflict regions.
