    Embarazo no planificado en estudiantes universitarias en control pre-natal

    We worked with 75 pregnant students, of different university studies, in pre-natal control in the assistential Medical and Dentary Center of University of the Andes (CAMOULA), in Merida, Venezuela. A questioner with 36 questions was presented to know the frequency of unplanned pregnancy anticonceptives use and influence of the pregnancy, in the realization of the careers. The results show, that 17 students from the Faculty of Medicine; 15 from Humanities; 31 from combined Faculties of Law; Science and Economy; 5 from the Faculty of Engineering and 7 from other Faculties. The range of age is between 18-34 years. The middle age is 24 years. Married were 42(56%) students and unmarried 33(44%). With permanent sexual partner: 64(85.3%); of these, married 42 and unmarried 22. With occasional sexual partner: 11(14.6%), and unmarried. The average of the first sexual intercourse was 21 years. Unmarried mothers were 44%. Unplanned pregnancy was 64%, of these, 69.33% are of premarital relationships. The anticonceptive method most used was Rhythm (43.8%), in second place was the oral contraceptive (25%). Only 4% of the students used condoms. A high proportion (70.7%) of the students said that it's not convenient to have children when they are university students.
