    Respuesta a temefos en Aedes Aegypti (diptera: culicidae) de Venezuela

    Temephos is the insecticide applied to the control Aedes aegypti, the main vector of dengue in Venezuela. Larval bioassays were conducted by the WHO (1981) technique in 2013 to this larvicide in three populations of Aedes aegyti from Pampanito and Tres Esquinas in Trujillo state and San Juan in Guarico state, Venezuela. The results showed low resistance to the larvicide with values for FRCL50 and FRCL90 < than 5. It is important that this information be considered by the authorities responsible for control programs of Ae. aegytpi with the purpose to prevent the evolution of resistance to this larvicide in Venezuela
