    Análisis de estabilidad en macizos rocosos aplicando el criterio el de rotura de Hoek y Brown

    A paper has been previously griten by we and  published in the same magazine, where the slope stability in soils was studied, applying a similar analytical procedure to presented in this moment, except in this new on a numerical approach has been developed, to evaluate the slope stability in rock mass.  Taking advantage of the rock mass macrostructure, and carrying out some laboratory tests, the safety factor for the slope landslide can be estimated, using the method developed here.  So as to compare results, the problem is salved using (m, s) parameters which classify the rock mass.  Then applying the instantaneous parameter methodology and linear regression, the solution is obtained applying the criterion here displayed

    El cálculo variacional en la estabilidad de taludes

    In this article, we develop a numeric method that lets solve the stability analysis, which is based on the limiting equilibrium concept, the variation calculus and Mohr-Coulomb shear strength law. A function to the sn stress is derived to all slices. Furthermore, the sismic forces, punctual and distributed loads, are taken into account. This topic is very relevant, since we make a mathematical statement in order to let the geomechanic engineer have a different vision of the slope stability study. The contribution of this study is the use of the existing tools of the numeric analysis. Finally the results of the elaborated program that applies for this method by computer use are presented.

    Evaluación geotécnica del área de Los Aceitunos en la mina de carbón Paso Diablo, municipio Mara, estado Zulia

    The following work consists a field study, specifically in looking for outcrops that are framed in the area of future terraces in the zone the Aceitunos, from which geotechnical, geological and structural information was obtained, which can to contribute quantitative data that they showed the quality of the present outcrops in the zone, that they will serve for the study and modification as the design as the slopes in the Paso Diablo mine. For this three methods of classification were used (Barton, Bieniawski and Piero Feliziani). In addition, stereographics projections of joints and fold found in the zone were made, with the purpose of knowing predominant structural pattern, with the STEREONET program, public domain. With the measurements in the three piezometers located in the zone, it was come to design in SURFER 8, a piezometric model, showing the water direction like mainly obstacle that goes from the NW to SE. In order to complete this study, profiles located in the zone of the terraces predesigned in the Pit Aceitunos with the purpose of knowing the influence were designed that has the structural pattern in the stability of the future slopes.

    Factor de seguridad global de la estructura del pavimento

    In this article the dissipation of the energy is considered that happens in each one of the layers that the structure of the pavement conforms, when this one is uniformly loaded in a circular area equivalent to the contact rim pavement, taking into account that in each one of them the parameters that characterizes them are different, and that with the aid of the elasticity theory, along with the definition of equivalent thick, determine the deformations and efforts that take place in any point of sub-layers, which allows to apply the concept of the factor of safety based on the maxim energy that can dissipate the materials and energy mobilized in each one of them

    Influencia de la grieta de tensión en el empuje activo

    Se desarrollaran algunas expresiones de empuje activo para suelos arcillosos, en condicion no drenada y drenada, considerando las condiciones de equilibrio de fuerzas horizontales y verticales, en donde debe respetarse la ley de resistencia de Mohr-Coulomb. En esta metodologia se plantea la dependencia del empuje activo de la profundidad de la grieta de tension, determinandose la inclinacion del plano de falla que genera la minima profundidad de la grieta, para un valor maximo de empuje activo.

    Método para analizar la seguridad de túneles de poco techo en suelos y roca

    This article presents a methodology to analyze circular tunnels of thin roof intended for soils or rock beds. The study is directed to assess in advance the safety of the excavation by means of a safety factor FS. The analysis is based on the method of the dowels, passive thrust forces and the definition of the safety factor according to the Mohr-Coulomb's resistance law.

    Modelo de comportamiento teórico en suelos

    In this work a methodology to evaluate the stress trajectory in drained and not drained tests and to determine the shearing strains produced when a sample is shear in a triaxial test is developed. This simple methodology takes in consideration the material volumetric deformation calculating the stains with the same equation of energy and in the definition of the plastic potential. In order to resolve the problem we use the Euler predictor-corrector method and finally we present its analytical solution.
