    Bryophytes from the Environs of Yanachaga-Chemillén National Park, Department of Pasco, Peru

    A total of 134 bryophyte species distributed among 92 genera and 45 families (32 liverworts, 2 hornworts and 100 mosses) are enumerated from the region of Yanachaga-Chemillén National Park. For the Department of Pasco, 29 of the 32 liverworts, one of the two hornworts and 82 of the 100 mosses represent new departmental records. Fifteen of the 112 bryophytes are new records to Peru.

    <p><strong>Additions, Combinations, and Synonyms for the Bolivian Moss Flora</strong></p>

    Fifty-five mosses are newly recorded for Bolivia. Additional collection data are given for twelve mosses considered little known or rare in the country. Six new synonyms are recognized, five from Bolivia, one from Brazil: Hookeria scabripes Müll. Hal. [Callicostella scabripes (Müll. Hal.) Broth.] = Callicostella pallida (Hornsch.) Ångstr.; Leucobryum fragile Herzog = Leucobryum subobtusifolium (Broth.) B.H. Allen; Macromitrium pinnulatum Herzog = Macromitrium microstomum (Hook. & Grev.) Schwägr.; Schlotheimia vesiculata Herzog [Macromitrium vesiculatum (Herzog) Herzog] = Macromitrium stellulatum (Hornsch.) Brid.; Cyclodictyon breve Herzog = Cyclodictyon albicans (Hedw.) Kuntze; and from Brazil: Callicostella paludicola Broth. = Callicostella merkelii (Hornsch.) A. Jaeger. Three new combinations are proposed: Entosthodon subaloma (Herzog) S.P. Churchill (Goniobryum subaloma Herzog), Syntrichia xerophila (Herzog) S.P. Churchill (Tortula xerophila Herzog), Thamniopsis lepidopiloides (Herzog) S.P. Churchill (Hookeriopsis lepidopiloides Herzog).

    <p><strong>Bryophytes of Alarachi Natural Reserve, Department of Tarija, Bolivia</strong></p>

    A bryophyte inventory of Alarachi Natural Reserve in the Province of Acre, Department of Tarija, Bolivia, recorded 154 species distributed among l01 genera and 51 families; for hepatics 35 species, 19 genera, 13 families, and mosses 119 species, 82 genera, 38 families. This study represents the first bryological inventory for southern Bolivia, and provides the first representative subset of bryophytes for the Tucuman-Bolivian montane forest.

    <strong>Additions to the Bolivian Bryophyte Flora</strong>

    Eleven hepatics and seven mosses are newly recorded for Bolivia. New generic records include Cronisia, Nowellia, Pleurozia (hepatics), and Meiothecium (mosses). Additional records for 21 bryophytes that were previously little known in Bolivia, including several from the isolated Chiquitano low mountain ranges, are given. Papillaria tenella Herzog and the name Papillaria diversifolia Herzog nom. nud. are identical to Toloxis imponderosa (Taylor) W.R. Buck

    <strong>Bryophytes from the Cordillera del Cóndor, Ecuador</strong>

    A bryophyte inventory was conducted in the tepui-like region of the Cordillera del Cóndor in southern Ecuador. A total of 166 bryophytes are recorded for the Cóndor. Hepatics are represented by 50 species, 2 subspecies, 33 genera, 16 families, for hornworts 1 species, genus, family, and for mosses 111 species, 2 varieties, 67 genera, and 32 families. Ochrobryum gardneri is a new record for Ecuador

    <strong>Bryophytes of the Tucuman-Bolivian Montane Forest, Bolivia</strong>

    An inventory of the bryophytes from Tucuman-Bolivian montane forest of Bolivia resulted in 374 species distributed among 184 genera and 70 families; liverworts are represented by 97 species, 42 genera, 20 families; hornworts by a single species, genus and family; and mosses by 276 species, 141 genera, 49 families. Twenty-seven percent of the known Bolivian bryophytes are present in the Tucuman-Bolivian montane forest. Comparing the bryophyte composition of the two recognized montane forest ecoregions, the Yungas and the Tucuman-Bolivian, the former is 2.8 times more diverse than the latter

    The Bryophytes of The Department of Nariño, Colombia: II. Hepatics and Hornworts

    A total of two varieties, two subspecies and 67 species distributed among 41 genera and 23 families of hepatics and hornworts are recorded for the department of Nariño; 58 species, two subspecies and two varieties represent new additions. One species is newly recorded for Colombia: Calypogeia venezuelana. Eleven species and one subspecies are also recorded for the department of Putumayo, nine species and one subspecies representing new records.
