A Business Process Model for IT Management Based on Enterprise Architecture
(Latin American Center for Computer Studies, 2014) Jonás Montilva; Judith Barrios; Isabel Besembel; William Montilva

The successful application of Information Technologies (IT) in an organization depends on the business processes used for managing such technologies. It is widely recognized that the use of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice for organizing these technologies into a framework is a key factor for achieving a better IT - business alignment. This article presents a business process model for the IT Management that can be used in medium and large organizations as a framework for modelling and analysing their IT management processes. The main difference between the described model and others found in the literature is that our model places EA concept at the centre of the organization of IT Management activities. It provides a better definition, organization and comprehension of the essential and support IT management activities. The described model is being used in several organizations as a referential framework to improve their current IT Management processes.

Un método ontológico-sistémico para el aprendizaje conceptual de tecnologías digitales An Ontological and Systemic Method for the Conceptual Learning of Digital Technologies
Abstract During the last years, we have seen the emergence of a growing number of digital technologies. For a computer scientist, or IT professional, it is almost impossible to acquire a complete understanding and effective comprehension of these technologies, in such a way, that he/she can achieve a sound technological appropriation. Most of these technologies are complex. Learning how to use them is also difficult. Additionally, new technologies are developed and produced very frequently and the old ones have a very short life cycle. We are facing the problem of how to learn new technologies quickly and effectively. In this article, we discuss the application of ontologies and complex systems to the conceptual learning process of digital technologies and propose a method for helping users to understand and comprehend this kind of technologies. Keywords:Digital technologies, Ontologies, Complex Systems, Conceptual Learning, Technological Learning.
