    La batalla por el alma de América Latina: Una revisión crítica del papel de la religión en el continente

    For a long time, the Roman Catholic Church was the reference point when one studied the issue of religion in Latin America, however, this predominance has lessened in the last three decades. The situation today is much more complex with new religious organizations and practices such as evangelical Protestantism, especially Pentecostalism coming to the fore and rapidly gaining followers at the expense of the Catholic Church. The religious economy approach is useful to understand the growing tensions between the differing religious actors as a source of social change in the continent.

    Un acercamiento al fenómeno religioso en América Latina a la luz de la crítica cultural

    The study of religion in Latin America is an interesting way to understand how cultural changes are occurring in civil society. This article attempts to demonstrate that religion is one of the motors of the transformation of social structures. The accelerated rate of change in the Latin American imaginary is happening due to important changes in religious practices. It is a revolution that is almost silent but has significant influence that should not be missed. This paper focuses on the increasing impact of religious transformations on political, social, cultural and international decision-making.
