Abstract
Nowadays, our students live and learn in an eminently audio-visual culture. For students, the image is a source of knowledge. Videos are, perhaps, one of the means that has aroused more interest in the last decades for its incorporation in the teaching and learning processes. From this point of view, videos are an excellent educational resource to promote and motivate the teaching and learning process, because it facilitates the understanding and exemplifi cation of the contents, helping students retain knowledge in an easier way. Consequently, in this research word, we determine the incidence of the use of videos as a didactic tool for teaching Organic Chemistry in students of fifth year at Liceo Bolivariano Hilario Pizani Anselmi located in the municipality Motatan - Estado Trujillo, Venezuela. Therefore, we used a didactic strategy that goes beyond the fact of contemplating an entertaining audio-visual message, which allows the identifi cation of the contents included in the organic chemistry course, having as goal to achieve a truly meaningful learning in students.
