Gastrointestinal parasitism is the most important constraint in the goat exploitation, due to alterations causing diarrhoea, weight loss, low production and death. Digestive strongyles are the major cause of this disease. This study was carried out to evaluate helminthes presence in the goat farm “La Candelaria”, located in San Marcos de Leon, in Trujillo state. The flock consisted of 46 animals. From 34 animals, faecal samples were collected directly from the rectum. The flock was divided into four groups, taking in account their weight (Group 1: 1-10 kg, Group 2 :> 10-20 kg, Group 3: > 20 to 30 Kg and Group 4 :> 30 kg), without considering age. Sampling was conducted from April to June 2014. Helminthes eggs per faecal gram (epg) were counted by using Mc Master technique. The results of this study revealed the presence of seven different helminthes genus, and Haemonchus spp. and Oesophagostomun spp, were the most prevalent digestive strongyles (100%). Comparing digestive strongyles abundance levels, among different groups, it was observed that Group 2 was the group with the major presence of helminthes (2056 epg). The 100% of the animals studied, were infected with at least two different helminthes genus.
