dc.description.abstractThe rocks, being the most abundant materials on the earth’s surface, have been used throughout human history to build bridges, houses and other buildings. Such use, as time has intensified so that just by looking homes of any city may detail a common factor in all of them has been used as a building material to rocks or any product derived from these. Under such importance, considering the growth of intermountain cities such as Trujillo, in Venezuela, is on different rock substrates, this study of projective type, focused on cataloging the different rocks found under the scale stratigraphic state and describe how the physical properties of these, give the population of alternative building materials, which takes a decisive role in the plans of formal and informal urban development on the relief
