Uso de la canción como estrategia de enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras (inglés y francés) en el nivel diversifi cado, Trujillo

Abstract

This research intended to determine the use of the song as a strategy for teaching foreign languages in Valera municipality diversifi ed education institutes in Trujillo State. This study was carried out under the type of exploratory research with a non-experimental and fi eld design; It had a population of 25 teachers in secondary school in English and French areas; to whom was applied a questionnaire with closed questions and multiple options, previously subjected to the assessment of three (03 experts) to prove its reliability. The conclusion was that the majority of studied teachers used the song, but mostly did fi t within the strategy of teaching according to the sequence of three moments of the class, despite the fact that they know about activities with songs, their importance and the benefi ts that this authentic material provides to the students. Also, it was found that teachers who do not use the song, presented as main factor the fact that they not do count on audio-visual aids in the institutions for its reproduction and exploitation in the class. Finally it is recommended to guide pre-service teachers and the already graduates in relation to the song as a strategy for teaching languages through training workshops and also in the use of new technologies (MP3 and others) in the class
