La información fue recogida utilizando la técnica de la entrevista en profundidad, aplicada a 12 docentes principales de la Universidad Nacional del Altiplano de Puno - Perú, encargados de impartir materias de investigación. Los resultados muestran que investigación y libertad de cátedra tienen una inseparable relación en la docencia universitaria, ya sea de manera inclusiva o siendo la primera un requisito para ejercer la segunda.In the interest of interpreting the perception that university professors have about research and academic freedom, a qualitative study was carried out, identifying knowledge, attitudes and expectations they have about both concepts.
