El objetivo de la presente investigación es analizar la composición gráfica de los textiles elaborados en las misiones entre los siglos XIX y XX, considerando la geometría abstracta tradicional indígena y la herencia orgánica de las misiones. La información proviene de entrevistas con artesanos originarios, la observación de textiles y la revisión bibliográfica. Al considerar el contexto histórico y cultural, se generó una identidad gráfica para las etnias guaraníes y weenhayek wichi del Chaco tarijeño con herencia franciscana, a partir de su geometría, composición, color y ritmo.Abstract: In the Chaco of Tarija, Bolivia, the ethnic graphic identity of the indigenous peoples influenced by the Franciscan missions is little known. The objective of the present investigation is to analyze the graphic composition of textiles elaborated in the missions between the 19th and 20th centuries, considering traditional indigenous abstract geometry and the organic heritage of the missions. The information comes from interviews with native artisans, textile observation, and bibliographic review.
