The study was developed on agar disc diffusion method against C. albicans B-385. Only ethanolic extract was found to inhibit the development of C. albicans with minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) <20 mg/µl. Phytochemical screening on ethanolic extract showed saponin and steroidal compounds, which are commonly present in this species. These results could contribute to further biological research on H. crepitans, since a first antifungal activity of ethanoic plant extract has been reported in this study.esTraditional medicineCandida albicansBiologyMedicineActividad antifúngica in vitro de extractos de Hura crepitans L.
