The field works was made by means of the establishment of five rectangular plots of 800 m2 each one, covering a total sampling area of 4000 m2. As criterions of the current states of the population could conclude that in El Pitirre locality, represented for an ecosystem of low and very altered mountain by different types of disturbances, the present population of R. junceuses show values of high abundance, by surpassing the 112 individuals by hectare in February and 145 in March; the population is structured for a bigger representatives of juvenile individuals that in all sampling surpasses the 50% in respect to the total census; it is a significant evidence about the replacement availability in the population and a capacitance to guarantee its maintenance in spite of the grateful disturbances.esGeographyPopulationCensusButhidaeForestryAproximación al estado actual de la población de Rhopalurus junceus (Scorpiones: Buthidae) en la localidad El Pitirre, municipio Los Palacios, Pinar del Río, Cubaarticle
