A morphological comparison of specimens of “Tocoro” with published descriptions and keys of related species establishes that these bamboos belong to Aulonemia herzogiana and A. hirtula; the latter is a new record for the country. Furthermore, misidentifications in specimens of A. hirtula and an erroneous description of A. herzogiana were detected.enBambooBiologyMontane ecologyPoaceaeBotanyTaxonomy (biology)EcologyTaxonomic identity of “Tocoro”, a large hollow bamboo from Yungas of Bolivia (Poaceae, Bambusoideae, Aulonemia)article
