The second objetive was to propose an alternative methodology for training young readers. This included an action-research design developed in four stages: (1) classroom evaluation; (2) reading lesson plans; (3) development of transforming action; and, (4) experience assessment. After qualitative analysis of collected data, the study concludes that reading teaching & learning is a constructivist process that contributes in training critical and autonomous readers. It is also an alternative methodology to the traditional way of teaching reading.esReading (process)PedagogyMathematics educationAction researchAction (physics)Constructivist teaching methodsPsychologyHumanitiesTeaching methodLa lectura en el medio escolar: una experiencia pedagógicaarticle
