Los libros que seran objeto de nuestro analisis son en particular, Chariton de Aphrodisias and theInvention of the Greek Love Novel de Stefan Tilg y en forma mas general, Narrative andIdentity in the Ancient Greek Novel de Tim Whitmarsch y Greek Identity and the Athenianpast in Chariton: The Romance of Empire de Steve D. Smith. Ellos presentan en comun,entre otras cuestiones previamente estudiadas por la critica, por un lado, la relevancia de losproblemas concernientes a la teoria o poetica narrativa y, por otro, la importancia de la configuracion de la identidad de los protagonistas en el contexto socio politico-cultural del que forman parte. The Revaluation Oo Chatiton of Aphrodisias: The Most Recent Critical Studies on Chariton Abstract Starting from the new interest about the Greek Novel in the recent years, this paper intentsto analize the works dedicated to Chariton of Aphrodisias: in particular, Chariton de Aphrodisias and the Invention of the Greek Love Novel by Stefan Tilg and in a moregeneral way, Narrative and Identity in the Ancient Greek Novel by Tim Whitmarsch andGreek Identity and the Athenian past in Chariton: The Romance of Empire by Steve by D.Smith).
