This is a species known in the Bolivian Amazonian region under the common name of “paquio”. The fruits were collected at Ixiamas village and their surroundings in the province Abel Iturralde, Alto Beni, and at Mapiri village, department of La Paz. In the investigation of the eatable part of the fruit, a bromatological preliminary study was carried out. The macro and micro nutrients were determined, as well as the taste of the handmade elaborated products. A preliminary phytochemical study an the antioxidant capacity was also performed in fruits.
