La intervención tiene que estar cuidadosamente programada con actividades adaptadas a la necesidad de mediación que requiera cada educando. Estas actividades ponen en marcha toda una taxonomía de operaciones mentales (desarrollo de habilidades), esenciales para remediar el disfuncionamiento. La adaptación al ritmo de avance del alumno es fundamental.
