Entanging procrastination as a habit of postponing relevant activities replacing them with less important ones in order to understand why the phenomenon occurs within organizations and how it can affect the environment where the habit develops. The research is relevant to organizational studies and is conducive to its transdisciplinarity since it involves the study of various sciences, among them the sociology, psychology, medicine, administration and sciences of the organization. In addition, it generates new knowledge through the use of the case study method: many studies on procrastination and several on postmodernity have been carried out, but there is no direct history of having analyzed procrastination from the perspective of postmodernity as a direct consequence of the failure of the modern era and where an approach is also carried out within Western public organizations using an instiution as an object of study of the phenomenon. When a society is procrastinating, it is a clear signal that there is an internal crisis, so finding the origin of the habit is essential to avoid triggering an effect that leads to the internal destruction of society itself. The self-regulation and self-efficacy of the subject and of the procrastinator’s own organization are considered key for the solution of the conflicts generated by procrastination and constitute a challenge for Managers and leaders today in the work environment.esProcrastinationPostmodernityPhenomenonHabitSociologyTransdisciplinaritySubject (documents)HumanitiesPostmodernismPolitical scienceMANEJO DEL TIEMPO POR EL PROCRASTINADOR EN LAS ORGANIZACIONES PUBLICAS OCCIDENTALES POSMODERNAS: CASO DE ESTUDIO INSPECTORIA DEL TRABAJO DEL ESTADO MÉRIDAarticle
