Demuestra que la filosofia tiene un objeto humano inmediato que es el filosofo, sobre el cual ella vierte sus efectos transformadores. El filosofo busca el saber para hacerse a si mismo bueno, y se impone como su deber compartir su saber con los demas hombres para hacerlos tambien buenos pero, ademas, felices. El filosofo no puede aislarse. Abstract Professors and philosophers In the light of the axiological principles of the tradition having its source in Socratic doctrine, the author reflects on the role of the philosopher. He demonstrates that philosophy has an immediate human object that is the philosopher upon whom its transforming effects flows. The philosopher seeks knowledge to become himself good, and imposes upon himself the duty of sharing his knowledge with the rest of mankind so that they become good also and, moreover, make them happy.
