It obtains the solution to the fabrication problems with sub problem refinement using a feature-based representation not only for the final parts but for the manufacturing operations. The appropriation scheme is a process tracing variation that, by comparison with a “base strategy”, questions about the criteria used. The base strategy is structured by refinement criteria (Which sub-problem to refine, and How to do it), and choice criteria. The session output is the automatic history of the prototype and expert’s actions, improved with explanations.enAppropriationComputer scienceScheme (mathematics)Representation (politics)TracingProcess (computing)Base (topology)Feature (linguistics)Industrial engineeringEngineering drawingSAPEP: An Interactive System for the Appropriation of Planning Strategies in the Fabrication of Axisymmetrical Partsarticle
