Then, it is necessary to involve the school in the activation of practices and strategies who allow the analysis of visual information that dominates the daily life of students and linking with an essential ability in the academic performance such as the writing. From the stated before, an intervention proposal was design with a methodological base supported in the qualitative paradigm and framed in to research – action method, through which a series of strategies that focused on the image were made and always on relation to the production of writing texts, specifically in the production of pop up books in the classroom. The fundamental purpose was to develop in 5th grade elementary school students from the Escuela Bolivariana Villafane (San Cristobal municipality, Tachira) written communication skills through the use of the image. It was evaluated through the analysis of texts produced by students in approached and from notes taken by the teacher during work sessions.
