Carancas del territorio peruano, en las coordenadas 16º39′52" S y 69º02′32" W, y a una altura 3825 msnm. Para este fin fueron realizados diversos análisis de difracción y fluorescencia de RX (Rayos X), así como análisis mineragráfico y petrográfico. Los resultados per­miten concluir que la muestra analizada corresponde a un meteorito de tipo condrito.A study was carried out to obtain a characterization of the mineralogical and petrographic properties of small fragments from a fallen meteorite found on the 15th September, 2007 at 4:44:20 PM UTC close to the locality of Huano­collo, within the Carancas Province of Perú at the coordinates 16º39′52" S and 69º02′32" W, and an altitude of 3825 masl.
