Oligodontia is referred to the absence of 6 or more teeth. The absence of 1 or more tooth can impair a person physically or emotionally, especially if this occurs on a young patient with primary dentition, iterferring with proper growth and development. The aim of this study is to describe the interdisciplinary orthodontic management on a 5-year-old patient that suffers from oligodontia. Case report: Informed consent was signed. Feminine patient, 5-year-old, consults due to multiple absence of teeth that impedes a proper growth and development of her stomatognathic system. The mother states that she´s waiting the results of genetic studies, with diagnosis of probable ectodermic dysplasia. Panoramic radiograph shows multiple absences of the primary teeth can (maxillary lateral incisors, maxillary first left molar, mandibular central and right lateral incisor, mandibular molars), and permanent teeth in development, thinned jaw structure and cortical bone in proximity to the mandibular channel. Lateral cephalogram reveals anterior rotational growth of the mandible. The proposed treatment during a first stage is focused on recovering vertical dimension and improving mandibular growth rotation, allowing correct phono-articulation, and gaining facial harmony and esthetics. Conclusions: In cases of oligodontia in growing and developing patients it is important to provide an interceptive, early and timely solution to allow the patient to develop correctly.esOligodontiaMedicineHypodontiaAnodontiaOrthodonticsDentistryPanoramic radiographMolarDentitionMandible (arthropod mouthpart)Manejo Interdisciplinario de Oligodoncia en Paciente de 5 Años.
