Item type: Item , Aplicaciones actuales de la proporción aurea en medicina estética. Revisión de la literatura.(2020) Luis Vinagre; Blanca Miller; Gemma Pérez; Patricia Maricela Beltrán Guevara; María Augusta Rodríguez Viteri; Alejandro Alba; Gladys Josefina Velazco ViloriaRicketts says that the golden ratio or golden number has wonderful properties, attracts the attention of the observer and is registered as beauty, harmony and balance, this causes a phenomenon called dynamic symmetry. The introduction of the standard called divine ratio for the evaluation of a facial profile can lead to the treatments to obtain a maximum benefit around facial beauty. It can be part of the arsenal available to professionals linked to the evaluation of aesthetic disorders such as stomatologists, orthodontists, prosthetists, maxillofacial and cosmetic surgeons. Even so, the application of divine perception has shown different results in various studies.Item type: Item , Complicación con hilos de polidioxanona por ruptura de la mucosa bucal. Reporte de un caso(2018) Víctor García; Gladys Josefina Velazco Viloria; Blanca MillerThe use of polydioxanone threads has revolutionized the world of aesthetic medicine, not only because of the results obtained after its placement, but also because of the versatility of its use. There are many histopathological studies that have indicated that the foreign body reaction after inserting the thread, which has been observed is lymphocyte infiltration, collagen deposition and fibrosis, which explains the turgor effect that the skin acquires when placed, more complications of adverse effects by the biomaterial itself are rare. The knowledge of the anatomical spaces becomes of vital importance. In this case, the patient presented perforation of the buccal mucosa due to inadequate placement of the thread. His withdrawal and medication were enough to solve the case; however the infection had not been treated could have caused major damage. KEYWORDS: Polidioxanone, threads, complications, edema.Item type: Item , Ritidoreversión. Parámetros diagnósticos como estimadores del tratamiento cutáneo(Universidad Internacional de La Rioja, 2021) Blanca Miller; Dubraska Suárez Vega; Gladys Josefina Velazco Viloria; Víctor García-GuevaraThis article tries to propose the practical incorporation to the orofacial harmonization of a new concept the wrinkles-reversion or Rhytids-reversion. Diagnostic guidelines also proposed that would allow the calculation of a dermal filler dosage closer to the real needs of the rhytids, according to their type and topographic location on the face. It based on epidemiological analysis of the skin thickness and the epidemiology of the main rhythms, specifying their average depth. A Rhytids-reversion formula proposed that implies that the lost volume of the rhytid or wrinkle is equivalent to the volume to tissue repositioned by dermal filler. The analysis reveals that the maximum volume of dermal filler material that the skin should receive in the most severe cases of true cutaneous rhytidosis (not furrows whose origin is deflation and facial lipomatosis) is 0.055cc per centimeter of extension, facilitating the diagramming of the dose by area in patients.
