FILUC: una feria universitaria para la promoción del libro, la lectura y la cultura.

Abstract

The book fairs are cultural events around the world that bring together publishers with their productions on the one hand houses, and readers - buyers on the other. In Venezuela there are many activities of this kind and among them the International Book Fair at the University of Carabobo. With seventeen consecutive editions FILUC has established itself as one of the most important in the country. This paper aims to analyze the function of promoting books, reading and culture of this university product from this program devised. Through the breadth of its academic and cultural programming this event has contributed significantly to the formation and consolidation of reading habits and thanks to the actions of their guests and promoters of reading has delved into the true purpose of reading. Your children’s ward has enabled thousands of children in the region close to recreational experiences for reading, writing and enjoyment of recreation and emotions. With all this FILUC contributes to the formation of critical citizens and direct impact on the establishment of the necessary and desired society.
