Evaluación del efecto de hormonas vegetales en la calidad de plantas de Caoba (Swietenia macrophylla King) en vivero
Abstract
This research had as main objective to evaluate the infl uence of two of growth regulators (ProGibb® and GiberGrop®) on the quality of plants of mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla King). ProGibb® is a growth regulator, whose active ingredient is the gibberellic acid 10 % w/w and inert ingredients 90 % w/w; GiberGrop® containing acid alfanaftalenacetic 17,2 and gibberellin (GA3) 10 % (w/w). The experiment was carried out in the nursery and evaluated using a design fully randomized, for four months. The treatments applied by spraying in the leaf area of plants, were waterborne, ProGibb® at concentrations of 200, 400 and 800 µg/L and GiberGrop® 600 µg/l, in addition to treatment with spraying of plants only with tap water. Data were analyzed through an ANOVA (SAS® 9.1). The morphological parameters assessed at monthly frequency, were the index of slenderness ratio of dry biomass and Dickson quality index. Slender index indicates that the plants sampled at the end of the nursery stage are considered robust and vigorous stem plants. According to the relationship of biomass, all treatments are suitable for mahogany. According to the Dickson index, is interpreted with GiberGrop® treatment to 600 µg/L produces plant more balanced in terms of robustness and the distribution of the total biomass giving a greater chance of survival in fi eld.
