Abstract
En la actualidad, numerosos centros educativos de los diferentes lugares del mundo recurren para impartir docencia, bien en determinadas materias bien en cursos completos, a plataformas electrónicas de formación. Tal opción representa una elección acorde con los nuevos tiempos, dado que no parece conveniente dar la espalda a la implantación de las nuevas tecnologías en las aulas. Puede recurrirse a tales herramientas de manera exclusiva o de forma complementaria a la enseñanza presencial. De hecho, son muy numerosas las ventajas inherentes a este tipo de plataformas. Así, entre las mismas, puede destacarse: la formación centrada en el estudiante, inexistencia de barreras de carácter geográfico así como temporal, carácter relativamente flexible del aprendizaje, enseñanza interactiva, formación a un elevado número de alumnos y facilidad para la evaluación.
Nowadays, many educational centers all over the world use for teaching, in certain subjects or in full courses, electronic training platforms. This option represents a choice according to present times, and it doesn't seem appropriate to avoid the introduction of new technologies in classrooms. These tools can be used exclusively or as a complement of traditional teaching. In fact, there are many advantages using this kind of platforms. Thus, between them, it can be highlighted: student centered education, lack of geographical and time limits, learning in a relatively flexible environment, interactive teaching, training to large groups and easier evaluation.
