Abstract

This paper is the result of a literature review on the advances in the area of environmental and sustainability indicators and the need to put into action the current international dialogue about conceptual frameworks and the most relevant indexes appropriate to the field. It was considered appropriate to offer a broad overview of these issues focusing on the similarities and divergences found on the literature.
