The research was aimed at evaluating the tracer essential nursing process (Hepatitis B vaccine) in health personnel of the Urban Outpatient Clinic Dr. Joaquin MarmolLuzardo, Venezuelan Red Cross, Sectional Merida, August 2014 to September 2015. This quantitative research approach, with a type of explanatory research, quasi-experimental design, applied to a representative population of health personnel employed at this Health Center mentioned above. It is concluded that the tracer nursing process is crucial in implementing the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) and in the constant evaluation of product quality and effectiveness of immunization is ensured, thus achieving high levels of seroconversion. Greater efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency under the old vaccination compared with the current was found. The new scheme reached levels ˂100mlU / ml therefore it is recommended placing a reinforcement vaccine dose to ensure an adequate immune response is obtained.
