This article describes some alternative commercial offer to supply demands in electricity consumption in Colombia, not exceeding a few kWh per day. It is expected that the gap in electricity supply through the extension of the National Interconnected System takes a few years (if not decades) to materialize, and to ensure full coverage. That is why current commercial energy technologies must be sustainable in energy supply over time; and perhaps these will help reduce the gap to meet the unsatisfied basic human needs (REN21, GSR, 2016).
