Amor Romántico y Violencia contra las Mujeres desde el Enfoque de Género

Abstract

El amor romántico, es un peligro para muchas mujeres. La violencia contra ellas (VcM) y los feminicidios incrementan y en su mayoría son perpetrados por sus (ex) parejas. El Objetivo del presente fue describir las interpretaciones del Amor Romántico y VcM de hombres y mujeres pertenecientes a la Universidad en La Paz; el enfoque es cualitativo de tipo exploratorio descriptivo, a partir de grupos focales y una escala. Pese a compartir algunos indicadores hombres y mujeres interpretan de forma distinta, pero, estas responden a la imagen tradicional de amor romántico,donde la VcM es naturalizada, por lo que una posible forma de contrarrestarla es deconstruyendo el amor romántico, y estereotipos de género que lo promuevenRomantic love is dangerous for many women. Violence against them (VAW) and femicides increase and are mostly perpetrated by their (ex) partners. The Dbjective of the present was to describe the interpretations of Romantic Love and VAW of men and women who go to the University in La Paz; the approach is qualitative of descriptive exploratory type, based on focus groups and a scale. Despite sharing some indicators, men and women interpret them diíferently but these respond to the traditional image of romantic love, where VAW is naturalized, so a possible way to counteract it is by deconstructing romantic love, and gender stereotypes that they promote it
