In 1946 was published in Buenos Aires the first of the four biographies that Mariano Picon Salas wrote: Miranda . The work will not be the first or the last of the biographies and studies dedicated to the exceptional life of this Venezuelan man, who has attracted the interest of historians and scholars around the world. However, the biography written by Picon Salas contains, in our opinion, characteristics that give it a special place in the literature about Miranda. This work will attempt to study these characteristics and establish the place that the biography written by Picon Salas occupies in the context of the works about Miranda.
